Reprints Guidelines and Submission Form

Our editors are looking for previously published flash fiction and short stories that fall into the genres of science fiction, fantasy, and horror. Flash fiction should be up to 1,200 words, and short stories ought to be between 1,200 words and 7,500 words and be in English. Brownie points if your work can make us chuckle.

MetaStellar publishes reprints of flash fiction and short stories for free. We are unable to pay for reprints. See our overview

Please direct your reprints-related questions to marie.ginga@metastellar.com.

By submitting your work below, you affirm that you are the original writer of the text and that you have rights to any images included. If your piece is accepted for publication, we will send you a contract giving us non-exclusive rights to edit and publish it, edits subject to your approval. You will receive a byline, an author bio at the bottom of each of your pieces, and a spot on our contributors list. You can also include all of your platform links. All reprints are eligible for inclusion in our “best of the year” anthologies and are considered for our YouTube story time channel, and you will be contacted if your story is selected.

  • Please write a summary, tag line or blurb about your submission, 50 words or less.
  • Please submit a one or two-sentence biography. Feel free to include links to your Amazon book page, author website, or social media pages.
  • Please submit a square headshot.
  • If published online, please include a URL.
